Original Sales Brochure for Midvale Drive

One of the neighbors found a copy of this original sales brochure for Midvale Drive in their attic. There is no date on it but some of the older houses on the street date from the 1920's. Houses were built here up until the early '60s when the lots were filled. The brochure shows part of the street as Higbie Avenue. This was supposed to be extended toward the village of East Rochester but never was, leaving just a circle of homes. The name reverted to Midvale Drive for the entire development.

A lot of the residents have lived here 30 years or more. There is little traffic as it is a culdesac about 1/4 mile around. It is surrounded by and filled with mature trees and wide lawns. A creek runs up one side, a golf course and a hiking trail. Last but not least is the Amtrack track which runs along the "straight" end of the loop.

And here's a logo which will mean NOTHING unless you lived on Midvale Drive or Baird Road in the late '60's!
